Leaky Plumbing? Water leaking from the PVC allows air into system that reduces water flow to the pool. In turn, extra chemicals are needed to handle the correct water chemistry and clearness. If leaks aren't taken care of immediately it can lead to pool pump & motor corrosion, loud screeching motors, high water bills, loss of pump prime, ground saturation and additional leaks. A small problem can turn into a very costly one if ignored.

Heaters and pumps - Swimming pool & Spa heaters can be the most difficult pool equipment that you have. Making repairs to swimming pool & spa heaters should be performed by qualified personnel. Gas pool heaters using natural gas or LP (Propane) gas can be hazardous with combustion or exhaust of the pool heater. Green 2 Crystal Clear Pools has all the parts for your Anthony, Purex, Coates, Hayward, Comfortzone, Jandy, Pentair, Raypak, Teledyne Laars/ Jandy, or Sta-Rite heaters or heat pumps.

SPA maintenance, repairs and removals - At Green 2 Crystal Clear Pools we also are your one stop shop for everything spa's or hot tubs. We service both in ground swimming pools and above ground spas. We repair everything from leaks to pump and motor problems. If you no longer want your spa we can remove it for you.

Clogged or blocked line? Is your cleaner not working right, or your swimming pool doesn't seem to flow right. A lot of times you may have a clogged or blocked pool lines. In some cases we may be able to clear the line with high pressure water. If this procedure does not remove the clog, then it may be necessary to use a CO2 gun to blow out the clog. This should only be done by a pool professional. The CO2 gun is capable of producing a 350 PSI blast of air pressure. The line is filled with water which creates the air pressure to be released. Since water does not compress, the "shock wave" is carried directly to the source of the clog. A blocked line can be caused by anything from leaves, to a towel or even kids toys.

Motor making loud noise or won't turn on? Bearings or seals are the major offenders in faulty motors. Proper maintenance, leak-free systems and proper drainage will extend the life of pump motors. Electrical problems can also be a reason your motor doesn't turn on.

Filter returning debris or sand to the pool? A damaged filter will not only cause improper filtration necessary for the water, but also can damage cleaning systems. If not fixed immediately your water will turn green or algae growth may start over your pool surface.

Cleaning system not performing correctly? A properly functioning cleaning system not only helps keep the swimming pool clean, but prevents staining of the surface. If your pool becomes stained, it will most like require it to be drained and acid washed to restore a unsoiled look.

Heater not heating? Heaters need proper water flow and correct water chemistry. Decay of heater components will result, if this is not corrected.

Is your pool stained or look dirty? You may need a drain & clean or otherwise called an acid wash. An acid wash becomes necessary if the pool has turned into the "black lagoon". This will take place if the cleaning is not done properly or if the pool has been inactive for a period of time and algae has taken over. If you notice scaly, creatures splashing around out back, it's probably time to drain & clean. Our general rule of thumb for determining the need for an acid wash is: if you can see the bottom of the pool (the floor) then you can bring it back with chemicals, labor and filtering. If the floor is not visible, the cost of the chemicals and labor will generally be more costly and more time consuming than the acid wash. Also, extensive algae blooms will stain plastered pools, making an acid wash desirable. An acid wash is, purposeful strips tiny layers of plaster, exposing fresh plaster beneath. Therefore, it is ill-advised to make it an annual custom, which will accelerate the need for re-plastering. Most plaster coats are in excess of 1/2", so a few careful acid washes should not hurt. Pools can also be bleach washed, pressure washed or treated with citric acid. You may also decide on an acid wash not because of swamp conditions, but just to bring out a brighter, whiter finish. Mineral stains and/or deposits, chlorine stains, even dirt stains...an acid wash is always a dramatic aesthetic improvement.

If your swimming pool has had years of algae blooms, and if your pool seems to grow algae overnight or just bloom very easily....changing the water and acid washing the surface can give you an algae free summer. Acid is a dangerous substance. Pool company personnel are specially trained in its application and wear protective clothing and breathing apparatus during the acid wash. To protect our environment, the acid/water waste should be neutralized with soda ash prior to its being pumped to a safe location.
